Bill Mays joined Uplift Education as the CFO in May 2007, having previously worked with Uplift to assist with the 2005 bonds process. He has more than 30 years experience in financial management spanning the high tech, gas turbines and telecommunications industries. 

 

Prior to joining Uplift, he held a three-year post as the CFO for the Japanese subsidiary of a North American Telecom company in Tokyo.

 

Bill's involvement with Uplift started in 2000 as a full-time parent volunteer at North Hills Preparatory School where his daughter graduated in 2005. In 2009 Bill was a finalist for the Dallas Business Journal's CFO of the year. Bill received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Colgate University in 1969 and resides in Irving with his wife Susan and their daughter Lisha.
