Our students’ “Road to College” begins in Kindergarten where teachers
share their own college stories with their students and proudly display
memorabilia from their alma mater in their classrooms. As students
enter 6th grade, we begin a formal curriculum known as “Road to
College” that includes lessons focusing on how to select the right college, how to apply to college and apply for scholarships, how to pay
for school, as well as preparation for standardized tests. Through
conduct and grades, high school students can earn spots on our-end-of-year college trips, which allow them to visit a variety of American universities. By the time a student has graduated from an Uplift school, he/she will have visited 10-12 universities across the country.
