John Ellis Price, Ph.D., CPA
Chair – Hampton Board
John Ellis Price was appointed the inaugural president of the new University of North Texas at Dallas by the UNT System Board of Regents on August 19, 2010. His title became official with the opening of the university as a new agency in the State of Texas Sept. 1. Prior to that, he served as president-designate and vice chancellor for the UNT System, overseeing operations at the then UNT Dallas Campus. Price previously served as the KPMG Professor of Taxation and chair of the Department of Accounting at UNT in Denton, professor and dean of the School of Business at Jackson State University, assistant professor of accounting at the University of Southern Mississippi and as an internal revenue agent with the Internal Revenue Service. He also served two terms as a member of the Commissioner's Advisory Group for the IRS.
 
Ossa Fisher
Ossa Fisher is a Partner in the Dallas office of the global management consulting firm Bain & Company. Prior to joining Bain, Ossa worked as an investment banking analyst for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in their San Francisco and New York offices. Ossa holds a BA in Economics from Yale University, an MA in Education from Stanford University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is married with two children.
 
Jeff Helfrich
Jeff Helfrich is currently a portfolio manager and analyst for Penn Davis McFarland, Inc., an independent SEC-registered investment advisor based in Dallas. Prior to joining Penn Davis McFarland, he worked as a research analyst for several investment managers including Perot Investments, Independence Capital Asset Partners, and Janus Capital Group. Jeff holds an AB in Economics from Harvard and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is married and has two daughters.
 
Justin Henry
Justin Henry is currently an associate in the Finance practice group at Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. Prior to attending law school, Justin served as a teacher and Teach For America (TFA) corps member. He taught 7th grade math in the Los Angeles Unified School District. In addition to teaching, Justin helped TFA recruit and retain new corps members and served as a corps member advisor during Teach for America’s Summer Institute. Justin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Loyola Marymount University with a M.A. in Secondary Education, and the University of Texas at Austin with a J.D.
 
 
Dwight Lofton
Dwight Lofton graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana and an MBA in General Business from Texas A&M University-Commerce. After working for several years in the private sector for Fortune 500 companies, he pursued a teaching career in Dallas ISD and went on to graduate from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Master’s in Education Administration to become a school administrator. He has been in education for over 17 years where he has served as a teacher and as a school administrator for charter, elementary, middle, and high schools. Dwight has been a school administrator in Garland ISD for the last four years at Lakeview Centennial College and Career Magnet High School. He is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum, Texas Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Garland Area Alliance of Black School Educators.
 
Dawn Mann
Dawn Mann, brand expert, is the founding principal and President of Break of Day Design AD & PR LLC (BDD) in Dallas, Texas. With fifteen years in the business, Dawns career path has included work in the magazine, sports trading cards and entertainment industries. Dawn attended Ball State University where she studied Journalism and Graphic Communications and earned a Bachelor’s degree in 1995. She also attended Texas Christian University's Scheiffer School of Journalism Master’s program in Advertising & Public Relations.
 
Anthony Tillman
Anthony Tillman is the Assistant Provost for Strategic Initiatives and Director of Student Retention for SMU. In this role, he is responsible for coordinating, directing, and managing the SMU programs for retention of undergraduate and graduate students as well as projects that support the strategic goals of the Provost’s Office. Prior to his appointment with SMU, Anthony worked with The College Board in the capacity of Associate Director of the Educational Opportunity Center. The Educational Opportunity Center is a program of The College Board funded by the United States Department of Education that focuses on providing post-secondary educational services and programs to low-income and first-generation individuals. Anthony was with The College Board for six years.
