Parent U Uplift Parent University

Mission of Parent University at Uplift is
  • To connect families to the larger network of experts in their school and broader community
  • To help families navigate the road to college and beyond with access to the resources at their disposal in their community
  • To build trust among all stakeholders to accomplish a common goal, scholar achievement

About/History

Uplift’s Parent Universities are collaborative programs, organized by Uplift schools, district partners, teams of parents, and local community organizations for collective impact in the communities we serve. Any leadership team can put one together.

Parent University can be a day-long summit or a year-long series. The goal is to ensure that participating families’ and schools build trusting relationships and gain the necessary knowledge and tools to strengthen the scholar, parent, teacher triangle. By providing and connecting families to a larger network of experts and resources in their community, Parent University helps families navigate parenting, the education system and the transition to college and beyond.
