Former Dallas Cowboys great Charles Haley spent time at Uplift's Williams Preparatory Tuesday, September 18, helping prepare a new Fitness Zone. The space, which will house a range of interactive fitness equipment, is being installed by the United Way and the Dallas Cowboys. It will be used during the school day for physical education and during the Boys & Girls Club after-school program that operates at Williams.
The last similar Fitness Zone was installed at The Boys & Girls Club Grand Prairie location. The club wanted to have another one put in in northwest Dallas, but lacking a site, they recommended to the Cowboys that it be installed at the Williams Campus.
The Zone will be completed during the first week of October and will be introduced by the Cowboys on October 9.
