New Cowboys Fitness Zone Opens at Williams

Led by Texas Senator Royce West and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee, the Cowboys and sponsor GlaxoSmithKline celebrated the opening of the New Fitness Zone at Uplift Williams Preparatory on October 9, 2012.

 

The Zone will help Uplift Williams and the Boys & Girls Club, which runs an after-school program at the campus, promote a healthy lifestyle. While Uplift Williams has a soccer field on the corner of Regal Row and Harry Hines, the school does not have a gym. The Fitness Zone will provide an athletic space in the secondary building.

 

At the ribbon cutting, Lee demonstrated workout moves and gave scholars pointers about form on weight machines and helped them learn to use some of the electronic equipment installed in the facility.
