Dear Elevate Families, We are asking for your help so we can maximize the amount of federal dollars that goes to your scholar’s school. Uplift’s federal funding is based on our “Free & Reduced-Price Lunch form.” This is why we spend so much energy collecting these forms from our families. We are 3% away from our form completion from last year which would be a loss of more than $750,000 of federal funds. Below is how we benefit from collecting these “Free & Reduced-Price Lunch forms”: * Provide Free Universal Breakfast * Support state accountability ratings * Provide additional money to schools to support student learning, technology, and classroom supplies * Collect critical socioeconomic data that qualifies schools for additional federal and state programs * Open doors to extra benefits for families, including discounts on college entrance exams (SAT, ACT, AP) and reduced-cost internet services. Please know that by completing and submitting the Free & Reduced-Price Lunch (FRL) form, you’re doing much more than helping us determine your eligibility for benefits. Your qualified application helps us to unlock important resources for your scholar and their school community. Your child’s school receives $1500 in federal funds for every eligible scholar. Again, this funding goes towards things on your child’s campus such as extra staff to support tutoring, technology, and teacher development. Your participation makes a real difference, so if you haven’t done so already, please take a few minutes to complete the FRL form today using this link https://linqconnect.com/public/meal-application/new. Additionally, Uplift’s Child Nutrition Program staff will be on campus on October 6-8 from 12:00pm -4:00pm to support all families with any questions about the application process; the team will help any family that needs additional support or guidance complete the application. Atentamente, Uplift Elevate
