Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Uplift Education has closed its physical facilities indefinitely effective Monday, March 16, 2020 at 8 a.m, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Employees worked remotely starting on that date and time.  A date for re-opening Uplift Education facilities has not yet been established.  This closure will affect the processing of requests for information under the Texas Public Information Act.  Under the law, Uplift Education ordinarily responds to requests for information within 10 business days.  However, the definition of “business” day excludes days when facilities are closed for business.  Once Uplift Education re-opens and resumes its regular operations, all pending PIA requests will be processed in accordance with applicable law.   For further information on the calculation of deadlines under the PIA, please visit the website of the Texas Attorney General at www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/open-government/governmental-bodies/catastrophe-notice/update-calculation-business-days-and-covid-19.

Message from CEO

  • Yasmin Bhatia, CEO of Uplift Education with Uplift scholars As we enter into our 24rd year of serving D/FW scholars and families, I am excited for all we have accomplished, and all that we have planned for the decades to come.  We started with one charter school in Irving in 1996 and have grown to 43 schools on 21 campuses, serving nearly 21,000 scholars in six communities.  We are the largest charter school network in North Texas, and continue to be proud of our 100% college acceptance for our graduates.  We look forward to a future of educating more scholars and improving education as a whole for all children.
