Imitating Style "Pride & Prejudice"
List ten things you did today then read the excerpt from “Pride and Prejudice.” Note Austen’s style of writing and consider how style generates tone. Turn your list into a written paragraph that imitates Austen’s style (using this excerpt as your model). Follow Austen’s syntactic pattern (phrases, clauses, punctuation) but change the words and meaning to fit your list. This shouldn’t be longer than a paragraph. Don’t get overwhelmed or upset, this is just practice.
