• AFTERCARE PROGRAM INFORMATION FOR 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR

    Hello Uplift North Hills Families,

My name is Marisa Banks. I've had the privilege of being the Aftercare Coordinator at UNHP the last five school years. I am a proud parent of 2 UNHP Panther alumns. In the Fall, my youngest daughter will be starting her junior year at Arizona State University.  My oldest daughter graduated from UT Dallas in May of 2018. She is a full time employee with a technology firm here in Dallas. I have volunteered for many years at UNHP. I have also worked with Uplift in administration as well as substituting for our wonderful teachers.I absolutely love my job and look forward to continuing to be a part of the Uplift team as your Aftercare Coordinator.

Applications received between May 18th and June 31st were put into a lottery, and any available seats are filled by a random drawing. CLICK HERE to see the lottery results and where your scholar is placed on the NHP Aftercare Waitlist. You will ONLY be contacted if a spot becomes available for the 20-21 school year. At this time, there are no spots available for the NHP Aftercare program. Please note, any new applications after June 31st, will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist, by grade.

Our current Aftercare families had the opportunity to re-enroll for the 2020-2021 school year. Due to high re-enrollment and facility restraints, there are no spots available for the 20-21 school year, and new applicants must apply via a waitlist. Again, any new applications after June 31st, will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist, by grade.

CLICK HERE to access the waitlist application.

After much consideration, the NHP leadership team has decided to adjust the scope of the afterschool care program. Effective August 11, 2020, the afterschool care program will be a K-5 only program and will no longer include services for middle and high school scholars. We made this decision after careful consideration of a number of key factors:

    • A reduction in afterschool care staff
    • Limited and inconsistent space at the campus
    • The benefit of developing afterschool care staff to specialize in K-5 enrichment and support
    • The belief that MS and HS scholars would be better served in their afterschool time through clubs and other enrichment activities

If your scholar does not gain enrollment please refer to the list of Local Childcare options that have partnered with UNHP as alternative after school care.

If you have any questions please refer to the FAQ Info Sheet

I look forward to an amazing year with your scholars!
