Virtual School Extended through October 2
Posted by Uplift Communications on 8/20/2020 3:00:00 PMToday, the Dallas County Public Health Office released their strong recommendation that all Dallas County schools continue to offer only virtual learning. From their analysis, despite some of the positive trends in declining cases and hospitalization rates, the overall COVID cases are still too high to support schools re-opening for in-person instruction.
Hence, Uplift is extending offering only virtual instruction in all of our schools across DFW through Friday, October 2nd. We will continue to stay in active discussions with County and State officials on when it is appropriate to offer in-person instruction.

Current plans for in-person instruction
Posted by Uplift Communications on 8/10/2020 5:00:00 PMLooking ahead, we are working diligently to safely reopen schools for daily, in-person instruction on September 8th in Dallas County and hopefully on this date as well in Tarrant County. Both Dallas and Tarrant counties have rescinded their original orders requiring public schools to only open for virtual instruction. We are closely monitoring the COVID situation in both our communities and will share in late August our plans to transition to our scholar’s selected learning environment including continuing with remote learning through Schoology, participating in our Hybrid model (2 days week at school/ 3 days learning from home), or attending school in-person 5 days/week.
