Biography:Mr. Pope is a native Texan who could do without the heat, but tries not to complain.
He shares two wonderful children with the love of his life, Patricia Pope. Together they enjoy traveling, kayaking, herping, fishing, reading, cooking, organic gardening and living a "green" lifestyle.
Mr. Pope loves studying ecology and biology. His passion is to convey the importance of these subjects to his students and hopes at least one student will use their understanding of science to solve a social or ecological woe during his lifetime.
He invites all parents and students to contact him as needed and visit class websites for assistance 24 hours a day.
"It is interesting to contemplate a tangled bank, clothed with many plants of many kinds, with birds singing on the bushes, with various insects flitting about, and with worms crawling through the damp earth, and to reflect that these elaborately constructed forms, so different from each other, and dependent upon each other in so complex a manner, have all been produced by laws acting around us."
