I have been an educator for over 30 years. My experience includes teaching students in Grades K-5 as a classroom teacher and a reading specialist. I grew up in Kingston, Jamaica where I obtained my teaching credentials in Early Childhood/Primary Education from the Mico’s Teachers College and the University of the West Indies. (Mona Campus)

Teaching and working with children have always been my passion in life. I enjoy watching them develop a love for learning, sense of wonder and creativity. The excitement in their eyes, as they experience all the fun time in life is very rewarding. I have been selected as Sam's Club teacher of the year in 1996 and Summit Primary Teacher of the Year 2008.

I would describe my approach to teaching as very eclectic. All students come to me with their own unique knowledge, skills and talent. My goal as a teacher is to meet them where they are and build more on their strengths and weaknesses so that they will be more successful as they define it.

This will be my sixth year at  Summit and have found the students, parents and staff to be awesome, incredible, interesting and inspirational.
I am really looking forward to have another productive year at Summit, especially in my new role as Primary Reading Specialist.
